Day of Thanks.

Well, it's Thanksgiving, the day of thanks. I honestly can't believe I made it another year, and with so much to be thankful for to boot. Life can be a hectic hurricane of events that can sometimes make you forget to pause and take stock of all the wonderful things you have to be thankful for. This year I have fulfilled my dream of publishing my first comic book, and from what I can tell it's been received better than I had hoped. I have met so many interesting and talented artists and writers, people who motivate and encourage each other.

I got to meet my mentor and friend Chris Philbrook, in person, what a guy. Without his teaching and patient guidance, I know for a fact that I would not be where I am today. He has directed me step by step through the crazy world of self-publishing.

We have lost friends along the way this year, and though we will miss them, I am sincerely thankful for the lessons and knowledge they have bestowed upon our collective community, Thoughts, and ideas I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I am so thankful for my family, those who have supported me throughout the year and through those moments where I almost gave up on my dream. My wife and her understanding of how important this endeavor is, not to just me, but to our family.

I hope, as you sit at your table or on the couch watching football or your holiday movie, you give a momentary pause and remember all that you have to be thankful for and that you hug your loved ones and let them know how much they mean to you.
